Emily Ellsworth, Instructor
This course is ideally suited to music teachers, choral conductors, music directors, and church musicians who wish to grow as artists, musicians, and inspired leaders. The hands-on professional development approach will help you find new ways to engage your singers, improve their tone and musicianship. Conductors at all levels who work with all ages will work in a supportive, encouraging environment on rehearsal strategies, quality repertoire, vocal pedagogy, score study, and conducting gesture. Composer Lee Kesselman (Associate Director of the CME Choral Music Experience Institute founded in 1986) will join us for a portion of the week. Participants have the option to receive CME certification in levels I, II, and III, with consideration for the CME Artist -Teacher Certification after three summers of study.
